Lodi Academy’s Musical Department has a strong reputation for excellence and has seen many talented student musicians go on to earn college scholarships in musical performance. The music program provides individual and group instruction as well as music theory and performance. Lodi Academy boasts three major musical groups: Lodian Singers, which is a select chamber choir, Concert Choir, which is a larger ensemble, and Concert Band. In addition, we have smaller ensembles, such as our String Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, and various trios and quartets. Students can also engage in individual lessons with additional performance opportunities through the musical department.

Our major purpose is to serve our community through music while ensuring that our students develop a love of music that will last well beyond their years at Lodi Academy.

In addition to our yearly participation in music festivals and performances at local churches and community programs, our students travel to perform in one longer tour each year. In 2018 the Lodian Singers and Concert Band traveled to the Hawaiian Islands for their tour. Lodian Singers and Concert Band have competed at the World Strides Heritage Performances winning multiple awards in 2014 (Silver & Bronze) and 2015 (Gold). In the Spring of 2016 Lodian Singers performed on stage at Carnegie Hall during their New York performance tour.

We encourage our students to participate in our music program. Well over half of our student body actively participates in our musical department.
